England booing team in good form for Hungary friendly

England’s national booing team is full of confidence as they gear up for tonight’s international friendly against Hungary after a successful world cup campaign in South Africa, where they consistently out-booed their opponents.

Team captain Derek Shobdon is expected to build upon this experience and finally lay to rest the ignominy of England’s embarrassing defeat at the Hands of the Hungarians during the 1953 ‘match of the century’. ‘Back then Hungary revolutionised cat-calling, at a time when the English were still uttering ‘Jolly bad show chaps’ and ‘I say, do come on’. We learned some valuable lessons back then and they haven’t been forgotten.’

Hungary’s international booing skills have since gone on to inspire the rest of the world – Brazil’s dazzling whistles of the 1970’s, the West German grumblers of the 80’s and of course England’s own 1966 jeering squad. ‘It’s a tradition we maintain to this day,’ Shobdon boasted, ‘although we couldn’t do it without our supporters – with those eleven plucky lads clowning about on the pitch to egg us on, we could out-yell a bunch of howler monkeys with their knackers in a vice.’
